La vie en rose translated literally means “the life of roses.” It probably seems like some people have a life of roses. Nothing bad seems to affect them, they get to travel to Paris and spend money on whatever they choose.  But the woman who sings this song, Edith Piaf, had no life like this.  She was born very poor and struggled to become the icon she now is to the French people.  She sings about loving someone so much, she can see that life of roses.  This song is apart of the soundtrack of Paris.  You hear it everywhere.  Musicians get on subways and play it for passengers riding the metro (subway).  But it speaks of love and that’s what I’ll leave you with today.  Have a “jour formidable!” ( A Wow day!)
