Purity and Bea both go to high school. But on this particular Saturday they are home doing what most sisters do: avoiding each other.
Bea needs to finish the dishes from last night and Purity has decided to get a snack from the kitchen.
“Hey, don’t make anymore dishes for me to wash,” Bea exclaims.
“I’m not going to,” Purity responds with attitude. Little sisters, ugh!
All of a sudden, a flash of light fills the kitchen. An ambulance is passing by on the next street. But strangely, the light stays, flooding the room with brightness.
“Now girls, don’t fight. You need to get along if you are going to come with me on an adventure,” they recognize their oldest sister’s voice.
“Prudence, where are you?” They both say in excited unison.
“I’m in the brightest part of the light. Run toward my voice.”
The girls immediately bolt toward their sister’s voice. All at once, the sunlight fades. They are in a lush green forest. The girls do not see their sister anywhere. But in front of them, a very large black rabbit is coming to meet them.
“That rabbit is going to lead us to Prudy,” Purity announces.
“I know, let’s go!” says Bea.
The black rabbit sniffs them quickly and turns around. His black scut (tail) wags joyfully asking them to climb on top of him. The girls realize they must have shrunk in the process of coming to see their sister. They are now the size of a forest fairy. They scramble up the sides of the huge black bunny. With each girl holding onto each of the rabbit’s soft ebony ears, they are off.
