Many years ago, your Grandfather was in a play called, South Pacific. It was the first play I was ever apart of. I never got to go onstage, but I did get bit hard bit by the acting bug watching Grandpa and all his teacher friends performing. This is a scene from that play. The famous actress, Glenn Close, plays Nellie Forbush. Nellie is a nurse who leaves her home in middle America to help in the war effort (World War II). She is stationed on an island in the “South Pacific” and meets a handsome French planter named Emile. Emile loves Nellie, but she’s not too sure about him. So, at this point in the play, she’s decided NOT to go forward with the relationship. She’s decided to “Wash That Man Right Outta Her Hair!”
I’m sure a few fellas have gotten in “deeper than deserved.” So grab your shampoo and start singin’ girlies! It might take a few chorus’ but this song never fails to make me smile. Check it out!
