One of the most fundamental things I have learned is the importance of balance. Extremes are not good. Of course, we hope to better ourselves. All humans have that drive. But we must also accept ourselves as we are. You are perfect just as you are. I don’t say that because I’m your beloved relative. You are divinity, my sweet girls. What if God lives inside each of you? What if God lives inside each of us? But when things go badly, what do we tend to do? We fight, or we run. Sometimes fighting isn’t worth it. The person is hell bent. They wouldn’t change if you promised them the world. Running doesn’t solve much because then you just beat yourself up for not standing your ground. How do you find the composure to not fight and not run? Balance. How do you balance? You need to find that quiet part of yourself, deep inside. Say it like a prayer:
You need to repeat this to yourself over and over. Because it is the truth. Now, lay on your bed. Turn on this music. Close your eyes. Focus on breathing in and out. Imagine, just for a moment that breathing is everything. It is the only thing that matters. Breathe in the good air and all the good thoughts from above. Breathe out the carbon dioxide and any bad thoughts. They are like poison. Get rid of them. All you gotta do…is…breathe.
