He and his lady got here about 10:00 last night.  We stayed up for a while talking and having a fine time.  We talked about his trip to Catalina when he got stung by a wasp.  We talked about when we went boating and fishing.  He and I had some pretty fun times.

Interestingly, his lady has not traveled outside of her city.  She just hasn’t had the opportunity to see museums, beaches or other places.  Big Brother HAS seen most of those places thanks in part to yours truly (me).  Now we’ll have to help catch his lady up.  Darn!  More adventures with big sister!  We’re talking about taking her up to the mountains while she’s here.  She’s never been up in the mountains.

So, if for nothing else – be thankful today that you’ve had experiences that others only dream about.  It’s funny.  We were learning about what helps kids have higher test scores.  Several factors: how much they read, how much they write, how many life experiences they’ve had.  You have had lots more than your peers have.  Maybe some have had more.  You are not in competition with them.  You only have to be better than you.

Besides, you know all that will change when we can see each other again.  I’m telling you now, if you wanna go to Paris – I’ll take you.  Just start brushing up on your French.  French people WANT you to speak French in France.  In the meantime, keep being thankful for the little things (like a big sister who took you all kinds of places) and have a beautiful Thanksgiving day!
