This is a funny shirt. I apologize for the profanity. And if you are REALLY being mindful, compassionate and kindness, people just cannot upset you. But just how do you do that? Well, you catch yourself in those good moments: like when you are warm and snuggled in your bed. You catch yourself feeling good AND you let that feeling stay with you, as long as you can. You look for opportunities to do compassionate and kind things for people. I spend a lot of my day taking care of the needs of children. So it’s easy to keep a look out for something special: a picture, a song, a story, that will brighten up your day. It’s like I’m treasure hunting. “What will make my sisters smile?” I have a bank of ideas now and I weave them into my two daily posts. I hope the next really good feeling you have, you catch yourself feeling warm and delighted. Maybe even right now! 🙂 Now…close your eyes and sit for a moment. Let yourself stretch that good feeling out for a minute or so. Congratulations…you’ve just practiced the art of mindfulness. Do it again, as soon as you can. No one controls your brain. That belongs to you.
