Day 2 of year of health: my goal is simple, live healthier, yet I just had four shortbread cookies. I can’t do THAT everyday. I’d better take a walk around the neighborhood once I finish posting. Today was good. I took some stuff to the Domestic Violence shelter for the women who find themselves needing a place to live and a start over. I did some more furniture shopping: narrowing my choices down for living room furniture ideas. Got appointment for cable, Internet and phone to be reinstalled. Then, I took myself out to lunch and booked a spa day. I had an hour long massage, a pedicure and eye brow design. Phew! I’m tired. But I think my body’s waking up to the idea that we are going to start communicating on a more intimate level. I know my methods sound weird. It’s me, remember. You’ve got to be gentle with yourself when you start something new. I also have a new rule for myself: if anyone offers me water, I take it and drink it. I’m completely off soda now, I still love iced tea and mineral water though. Gotta be careful how much bubble water I drink though: not as good for your bones. Anyway, I’m getting healthy and trying to stay positive. I hope you are doing the same sweet sisters!
