Sometimes you just gotta get off by yourself, you know. I know you long for that kind of silence and autonomy.
Lots coming up: Drama Club starting again, gym challenge winding up – gotta lose all those pounds! Yes, the next few weeks are going to be hectic. So I decided to get out and recharge my batteries. You gotta do stuff like that for yourself. And if you’re expecting other people to GIVE you this time – forget it. You gotta snatch it when you can. We all do it, right? Asking the teacher to go to the restroom when you just need a few minutes of silence. In grade school, I used to go to the nurse for the same reason. She’d let me lay down in a quiet dark room. Fifteen minutes later, I was ready to go back to class. You don’t need too long. Even five minutes laying on your bed focusing on your breathing can make a huge difference. Try it! Imagine I am lying on the bed next to you. I am with you – whenever you think of me. There is no disconnectedness. We are all one. Runaway with me “to a garden that is bursting into life.” Enjoy Snow Patrol and their song – “Chasing Cars.”
