Some legends of God portray Him having wings – like the angels. I’m not sure what’s true. But it’s a nice idea to be sheltered in the wings of your Heavenly Father.
I hope you are finding a bit of faith to hold onto. It’s so important to believe in something. It keeps you going when life throws you for a loop: which it does from time to time. This is HARDLY the last situation that you’ll have to face. I really hope you’ve found some sense of spirit to believe in. I know the parents would want you to be a Christian. And since Christianity came from Judaism, I hope my faith only helps you become a better, more enlightened Christian. I really would not want you to try to be Jewish. We live in such a Christian world and being a minority in that world is not easy. Finding a life partner who shares your beliefs when you are Jewish living here is also quite difficult. No, I’d want you to be the best examples of good Christian women you can be. That is what I’d want for you. But maybe you’ve discovered something that moves you more? There are so many ways to cherish God in your life. Again, I just want you to be happy. I hope you feel His sheltering love. I feel it in very subtle ways: hearing a song on the loudspeaker at the grocery store that I really like, feeling a delicious breeze across my face, my kitty touching my hand with her paw when it’s clear I’m having a rough time.
This is God reaching out to you and telling you “I’m here. You are not alone.” Take refuge there when you need it. You can go anytime. Just imagine you are with him and you will be.
Jewish legend suggests that we live in the 1% world. The 99% world is the world of imagination, magic and dreams. The imagination is your super highway to the 99% world. It’s as far away as your next thought…Yes, imagination and spirituality have quite a bit to do with each other. Ever ask yourself “What would Jesus do in this scenario?” I sure have. Jesus was an amazing speaker.
Here is Maroon 5’s remix of the song “Pure Imagination” made famous from the movie, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. You might remember the book written by Roald Dahl.
