I’ve had this card in my hope chest for years. I always imagined I’d have a little girl and I’d put this picture frame up in her room.
Perhaps it would remind her of all the best things about being a girl. I know being a warrior goddess type gal is really “in” now. And I embrace that, sometimes. But, sometimes, you gotta be tender and soft. The trick is to know when to be each quality. Sometimes, the situation calls for you to pull those “big girl panties up,” and be tough. People don’t respect you if you are a pushover. And if people take you for granted… or treat you like an option and not a priority – it’s time to walk – out the door.
Being a gal should be fun. We can be so wild and wonderful! I enjoy being a girl!
This song is from a play/movie called Flower Drum Song. Nancy Kwan sings this song in the movie version. I hope you enjoy it.
