Some people say ” Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.” I say chocolate is a girl’s best friend.  This yummy chocolate pastry is called rugalach.  Rugalach (pronounced ru-ga- la- CH) is a sweet treat found at many Jewish events.  I’m going to make some today after I do a bit of grocery shopping.  The teachers at our school make homemade cookies, treats, etc…for the classified staff members of the school: secretaries, kitchen ladies, bus drivers, you know.  Then we all get together and have a cookie party putting the cookies in colorful boxes to give to these important people who keep our school running smoothly.  Here’s how I’ll make the rugalach:
