I finally did it!  I bought the string of pearls that I’ve wanted to complete my set.  And when I pass on, those pearls will belong to you Bea.  They are actually a present from your Grandpa Paine.  More on that later… They look something like this:

Pretty huh?  And whenever you wear them, it will be like Grandpa and I are hugging you.  You are always in my thoughts, sweet Bea.  Please don’t doubt that.  I love you both so much.

Remember the scene in Anne of Green Gables where Anne and Diana are looking out over the water after the hotel concert?  Anne talks about how happy she is.  You have what Anne had, my sweet girls.  You are both young and beautiful.  Some older women will try to put you down because they wish they were still young and beautiful like you.  That IS a power you possess.  It will fade – eventually so use it while you have it.  BUT do make sure you grow beautiful in other ways: be intelligent, be kind, and be loving.  You both deserve to be “as happy as queens.” And don’t you forget it!
