The Hamsa is a symbol of protection in Judaism. It is supposed to protect the wearer from someone who is looking to hurt them somehow.
The party I went to today had a henna artist and she drew a Hamsa on one of my hands.
It’s not a permanent tattoo. It’s made from plants so it washes off fairly easily. If you take care of it, it can last for several weeks.
I tend to get one during the summer when I’m not working. They cost anywhere from $25 dollars on up. The lady at the party was doing them for FREE. That was just too good to pass up. Cool, huh?!
