Today in Bible study, we learned about Deborah.  Deborah was a judge in Israel after Moses and Joshua died.  It’s odd to have a female leader, but Deborah was very wise.  People came to her palm tree where she gave out advice.  When a tyrant tried to take over parts of Israel, Deborah advised the military leader of Israel, Barak, to engage the enemy.  She’s one of my favorite heroines from the Bible.  You will find her story in YOUR bible, in what you’d call the Old Testment.  Her story is in a chapter called Judges 4:5.
