Dearest Bea,

I’m sure you are feeling kind of forgotten right about now.  With all this graduation hoopla for your big sister, it isn’t surprising.  But just think…you are next!  I hear you are glad to be seeing more of your big brother and that you are working on getting your driver’s license.  Keep on pushing. You’ll get there.  Just take one step at a time.

Have you noticed there is a new series on Netflix called “Anne With an E?” It’s a newer version of our beloved Anne of Green Gables.  I started watching it.  It’s pretty good.  Some Anne is better than no Anne at all. I first read Anne of Green Gables when I was a junior in High School.  I feel it changed my world for the better and I’m pretty sure it’s one of my top ten favorite books.  Here’s a sneak peek at the new series if you haven’t seen it yet…

And if I remember, your middle name is Anne.  Mine is too.  It was your (real) mom’s way of honoring us both with naming you after me.

I bought a beautiful string of pearls from some money that Grandpa gave me.  They are to match the ring and necklace that I already have set aside for you.  Remember what Anne of Green Gables said about pearls?
