Women have been singing to children that they love for centuries. I know you are both not little girls anymore. But this will reach inside and tug on the heart strings of the little girls I know and love so very much.
Remember when we used to sing in the car as we were driving to/from one of our amazing adventures?
This isn’t a modern song, but a very old one from India. I found it as I was looking for music for our play. Our performance is next Thursday. In fact, we have four performances. One of the plays is set in India. This song will be it’s introduction. The house lights will warm up the stage as the song begins. Once the music rises, the curtain will open and the kids will be transported to an elephant yard in ancient India. The kids have painted the sets on huge refrigerator boxes. They painted palm trees with coconuts and tall grass for this set. The set is on all four sides of the boxes, so for each of our three plays, the students are transported to a new location. Imagine all of that from a simple refrigerator box!? They are so excited to be wearing their costumes and using their wireless microphones with all their props. It should be very exciting. I hope you are finding things to be excited about. I love you my sweet little jewels. Remember… you will always be Indian Princesses to me. 🙂
