Another Six Minutes of Peace

Oops!  Forgot this one!  As you know, I like to meditate.  It’s a great escape and it doesn’t require much time.  Six minutes to be exact.  If you just turn this music on and close your eyes, you will feel MUCH better in a small amount of time.  If you lay on your bed and breathe from your belly, you will feel it more keenly.  It’s also important to try to clear your mind of everything: good stuff, bad stuff.  Go for just concentrating on ONE thing.  You can even do it with your eyes open.  It’s called an open eyed meditation.  You already do this: when you watch a sunset or a crackling fire.  Try not to talk.  It doesn’t matter if other people are in the room: unless they make you VERY uncomfortable.

Just imagine sitting on the beach with me.  We are watching a beautiful orange sunset.  My arms are around you.  We are wearing bright, happy orange sweatshirts so we are warm despite the cool ocean breezes around us.  We are also toasting S’mores in front of a cracking fire.  The fire feels slightly too hot on our faces, but not uncomfortable.  We are not even worried that we’ll be cold.  The sky streaks with oranges, indigo blues and brilliant purples.  Once the Smores are done, we pull the hot marshmallows  (I like mine burnt black) off the wooden spikes we are cooking them on and put them between two crispy graham crackers.

“Don’t forget the chocolate!” you remind me and we pull one cracker off to add the Hershey’s bar.

The amazing taste of creamy marshmallow, sweet chocolate and crunchy graham cracker melt into your mouth as you nestle further into my arms.  Our night on the beach has been a tasty one.  And so satisfying.  Dream, sweet sisters.  Someday, it can be reality.  I promise.  And you know…I keep my promises.  : )
