So, last night I went to my Theatre Arts Guild dinner at the local country club.  It was fun getting my hair and nails done for this special event.  When I got there, my date and I found a table with a couple friends from church and we had a few glasses of wine.  Then, the presentations began.  Personally, I was just waiting for my steak dinner to show up.  But I was pleasantly surprised to be called up for a “Taggie” award.  I was one of several people who was awarded for my contributions to acting in our local community.  What a nice surprise!  Dinner was even better than I thought with this sweet award sitting next to me.

It makes me think of the time I went to Purity’s elementary school to watch her get an award.  I still have all those pictures.  I was so proud of her!  Awards help us all feel recognized which is something everyone craves.  I don’t want to post the picture here but I do have it on my notebook at home.  Whenever I use it, I see Purity walking up to the stage to get that award.
