That’s what the Indians used to call the harbor of Catalina.  Now, it’s called Avalon.

I’m sitting on Descanso Beach and giving my feet a well deserved rest and sand bath.  Did you know sand smooths your feet?  Sugar does the same thing.

Anyhoo, I’m sitting here enjoying a quiet day of being waited on as I listen to the sound of the waves and the sand between my toes.  Oh, how I wish you were here.  You are with me in spirit, though.  I found moon earrings for both of you.  I’ll add them to your “Christmas gifts.”

Damn are you getting spoiled!  But you deserve it!  Purity has a $500 shopping spree coming.  And Bea – yours will be close to probably $1000 when we see you.  Lemons into lemonade, right?

I’m watching the boat leave that I was supposed to be on.  No worries!  There will be many others.  I’m on island time!  That’s kinda like Jewish Standard time, just slower… “Good bye boat!”

I can also see folks in the water snorkling like your oldest brother did when he came here with me.  Older brother wanted a Segway ride so he and I never made it here.  Purity and I paddled kayaks.  Bea and I enjoyed the submarine ride. Yes, I remember EVERYTHING!

I want to get one of those swan floaty things to hang out on in the water.  I’ll get Purity her dolphin and Bea her turtle – or whatever you want!  They look like such fun!  I do not want to leave this beach…

I’m sitting here enjoying the music coming from the bar.  This song came on a few minutes ago.
