So tonight, I go see Lorenna McKennitt.  I’m so excited!  I’ve wanted to see her in concert forever.  This music is called Marco Polo.  It isn’t what you’d figure for Celtic music.  The Celts are a very ancient race of people who lived in Europe hundreds of years before they moved west and settled in Ireland.  You can still see traces of these ancient pagan people all over Europe.  They were very skilled warriors and craftsmen.  They were conquered by the Romans and enslaved.  Now, this music’s sound makes more sense.  Lorenna did her homework as she wrote the music for her Book of Secrets album with regards to the Celts.  I love to listen to this song when I’m in the mood to belly dance.  This music unleashes me.  I’m no longer the proper school marm, but the beautiful belly dancer dancing to please…herself.  Come on girlies, put on your dancing shoes (or go barefoot) and dance with me.
