Benjamin Franklin is one of my favorite founding fathers of our country.  I used to go on dates and ask them ” Who is your favorite founding father and why?” It helped me gage ( understand) how knowledgeable the guy was in history and if he could carry on an intelligent conversation.  Anyhoo, Ben Franklin lived in London for several years.Most people think that he was highly educated… And he was.  He went to school for a time, but had to leave to become an apprentice to his brother.  His brother was very cruel to him. But, Ben would snatch moments (breaks/lunches) to study on his own. He basically educated himself. I guess Ben’s life story reminds me that It doesn’t matter how bad life seems to be if you are determined enough to change it, you can.  Ben Franklin did.  This is a picture of his house in London.  It’s a museum now. I’m going to try to go there today. 🙂
