This song is dedicated to my mom on Mother’s Day.  She is a woman of Faith.  And she allowed me to have my faith.  She could have given me such a hard time about my choice.  But she did not.  She supported me as a great mother does.

We are not all fortune to have a mother like this.  But if we are a Christian — we do: Mary, the mother of Jesus can be an amazing substitute.  Amy Grant, an amazing singer and songwriter, rewrote this song telling the story of becoming the mother of Christ from the woman’s perspective.  It must have been frightening to know what your child was to become.  But Mary (like my mother) gave her child into the service of God.  She must have prayed for a “Breath of Heaven” to help her through the darkness.
