Memorial Day is not just a day to eat good food and hang out with family. It is a day to remember those men who gave their lives in the fight for our freedom. We have so much because of these men. When I was in France, I was very touched to see how the French people remembered and appreciated the American, English and other Allied soldiers who came to fight for France’s freedom in 1941. That was over a half century ago – and yet – they still remember. Thousands of boys died on that beach. Hundreds of thousands of “boys” have died in wars to protect our country and her freedom. Today, we remember their sacrifice.
