This is probably one of my favorite pieces of music. The lady singing it is Loreena McKennitt. I’ve never been to one of her concerts, but I will – someday. This music takes a bit to open up. Give it time. It’s like a magic spell. It awakens the powerful enchantress hidden inside me every time I listen it. I think all woman have something deep inside of them that, once stirred, ignites into such a powerful sense of self. I hope you enjoy the music. I hope it helps stir that part of you that connects to your strongest magic within. The days and nights leading up to Halloween can be so amazing. The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting colder. But candles burn bright with wonderful scents and people are excited to create themselves into other people – even if it is just for one night. Embrace the magic, my sweet sisters. Discover the “witch” within. When you do, you’ll see the magic I’m continuing to weave “all for the love of you.” 🙂

The quotes within the song come from a story called The Divine Comedy. Dante Alighieri was an Italian writer who lived during the 14th Century. He wrote the Divine Comedy in three parts. One part is called Inferno. The story is about a journey his soul takes through Hell. Reread the quotes at the beginning and end of the video: they speak of a very painful journey through a dark place and a dark time. Strangely, I find it kinda comforting that a person from that far back in history can share his difficult journey so eloquently. Bravo Dante!
