Purity,
Remember when we went to the ice skating rink? We went to two. Well, one of them was named after this movie: Ice Castles. The movie is about a girl who desperately wants to be an Olympic Ice Skater. She gets her chance, but then gets into a terrible accident. She loses her sight and figures she’ll never skate again. But she’s wrong. Her family and friends stick with her and she discovers she can have her dream. It’s a beautiful story. The movie came out in the 70’s so it might seem kinda “older.” The song that was made famous from the movie is called “Looking Through the Eyes of Love.” Melissa Manchester does a gorgeous version of the song. UGH! If I could sing like that!
First day of parent-teacher conferences. I’ve had several no shows today. Oh well. I’m already done preparing for tomorrow’s conferences, so after the gym, I can go home and rest. Having an Irish movie marathon this week. Lots of good magical movies. Anyway, I continue to “reach for you” and let you know I’m still here. I’m “looking through the eyes of love,” and I can see you talking and laughing with your friends walking to/from classes. You are always in my thoughts, sweet girl. Do not doubt it. I love you so much! Enjoy the ice skating and remembering all the fun times we had on the ice. 🙂
