Things I’m grateful for:
Love of my parents
Love from you both and your brothers
You are both safe (You aren’t in a war zone in another part of the world.)
Three jobs that I like/love to do on a daily basis
My connection with God that keeps me grounded.
The MANY families I am an important part of : work, temple, writer
My students: they teach me so much
My kitty: such unconditional love/ trust.
My new home: comfortable and safe
My health that is returning.
Warm dry clothes
Places to go (the gym) so I don’t miss you SOOOOOO much.
Money in the bank to pay all my bills AND have a “wee bit” of fun.
A TV in my bedroom and a BIG comfy bed.
Yummy food to eat that also helps me lose weight (I’m eating baked chicken, broccoli and rice as I type this.)
(You’re both pretty high on this list, if you didn’t notice).
Practice being thankful. There are things I do not have. But I focus on what I DO have. It’s not that I don’t have wants. I do. But my focus is what I have. I’m very lucky, actually. 🙂
Make a list of the things you are grateful for and keep it close by.
