Here’s a little known fact about your favorite sketchy scribe: I am a Star Wars Fan.

The original movie Star Wars: a New Hope came out in 1977.  I was seven years old.  There’s this cute picture of me wearing a Star Wars shirt at this age sitting on Grandpa’s lap.  We were being interviewed for the local newspaper as Grandma and Grandpa were involved in a program called Friendly Town.

Friendly Town offered vacations in the suburbs with families for kids who lived in the inner city.  Grandma and Grandpa sponsored an inner city gal for two summers.  We took them to amusement parks, museums and stuff like that.

But, anyway, I love Star Wars.  I even dressed up as Princess Leia as a Halloween costume.  In fact, I think it was at a Halloween party, dressed as Princess Leia, that I had my first kiss.
