This morning, I got up and hung out on the ship before I repacked my bags for Catalina Island.
As I looked around, I saw an exhibit about Winston Churchill, the famous prime minister of England. He apart of American History too as he greatly convinced Franklin D. Roosevelt that we needed to join in the war effort.
Churchill traveled on the Queen Mary many times across the Atlantic Ocean. He was very proud of her.
During World War 2, the ship was known as the Grey Ghost. She was painted grey and could outrun German U boats no matter how hard they tried to sink her.
Churchill kept people’s spirits up during those dark war years. He delivered a famous speech about never giving in.
Here is a short video about him created by a teenage gal for her high school Anerican History class. Check it out… (More after the video)

The next time I’m in London, I’m going to make sure to visit the Churchill War Rooms. I do love history. I guess it rubbed off from your Grandfather. I missed the Ben Franklin House too, which is close by, so I’ll hit them together. Wanna go with me???
Dont give into the idea that we won’t do it. We WILL! Keep believing – we’ll be together as soon as we can, my sweet girls. ♥️♥️♥️
