The Spring holidays are in full tilt now. I’m cleaning the house for Passover and getting ready to take Grandma and a few guests to Easter Brunch.
One of the preparations for Passover is making this, Charoset. Pronounced Har – ro- set, Charoset is eaten during the Passover Seder to remind Jews that being a slave was a real drag. It’s supposed to look like the mortar that was made to hold the pyramids together.
It tastes really yummy though as it’s made from apples, nuts, sugar, cinnamon, ginger root, wine and sometimes raisins and figs. It’s very easy and just takes a few minutes.
