Hi Girlies!

This song, by Owl City, is rather hard to understand until you look at it like it’s a poem.  Writers like to “play” with words.  They like to find words that sound similar: rhyme.  They even play with the vowels in the words and try to get the same sound repeating: assonance.  Aren’t writer people WEIRD!  Like words are toys of things you can play with!  Overall, this song is saying (the chorus repeats) that the songwriter wants to cheer up the person they are singing to.  They are sending them all kinds of crazy images to make them smile.  It’s kinda like one of those crazy dreams you have that make NO sense, but you wake up and you feel so refreshed.  I hope you like it!  It’s called “Rainbow Veins.”
