The flowers in my yard are blooming! Wow! So much pink! It’s beautiful here. You are going to love it!
Tonight was Hebrew School. Only one girl showed up, which happens sometimes. So we had her (I’ll call her Mountain Girl or MG) practice reading Hebrew for a while. We also had a chat with her about how she chooses to present herself when she’s asked to do something for our temple. A lot of times, she rolls her eyes and gets huffy. We did not tell her she was wrong to feel this way. In fact, I told her I find myself struggling to be positive sometimes when I am asked to do something. I realize I am guilty of the eye rolling and the huffiness too. We reminded her that reading at church in front of people, or leading a song for the congregation…these are a great honor to be asked to do. We should all try to be a little more aware of how we are acting when people ask things of us. I feel guilty for saying no. But if I must say no, which we all must do at times, I can still do it with a smile. We ended on a very good note! MG took our words of wisdom to heart, I think. I guess the lesson of tonight’s post is “bloom where you are planted.” 🙂
