I know life is hard. Your hormones are raging. Life isn’t what you expected it to be. But, there are many things to be grateful for. If you REALLY want your life to change, you MUST start with an attitude of gratitude. I know. I’ve been where you are. I worked with a control freak colleague for many years. I could at least go home and get away from her.
Be grateful for the challenges in your life. They will make you tougher. You are going to have to be stronger than you can imagine if you REALLY want a different life. I believe in you. You can do this! Do not give up! I love you both so much.
I always used to tell your big brother, the one thing you can control is YOU. Become the mistress of your emotions (master them – do not let them control you. And certainly do not let others control you with them.) How do you do this? You meditate. You catch yourself BEFORE you do something emotional/stupid. And you slow things down. Really think. Is this a good idea? Here’s some quiet music to help you slow down. Focus on your breathing. Slow your breathing down and your world will slow down too. Try it! What do you have to lose?
