This is one of those songs that sneaks up on you. It’s from a play called, The Man of La Mancha. An old fella ( who has kinda gone crazy) decides to go on a quest. He wants to right things that are wrong, and make the world a better place. Unfortunately, he’s so old he does not realize that his dream is rather difficult to have come true. It’s a wonderful play. I won’t tell you how it ends, but this song is the song most people remember about it. Contemporary artist, Luther Vandross, does a fantastic version of it. It starts out real slow, so give it a bit. It’s worth it, I promise. We all have impossible dreams. And as soon as we give up on their coming true – BAM!
