Dearest Purity and Bea,
The letter has been sent. Now, we’ll have to see what happens. I’ll follow it up with a phone call in about a week. This will give the parents some time to receive the letter, digest it a bit and decide what they want to do. I was realizing that Purity’s graduation day is a celebration that I do not want to miss. It is a deadline, of sorts. And I’ll do everything in my power to be there. But, I can’t do this alone. They say it takes two to have an argument. I can write letters and make phone calls, but if they are met with silence, I’m not going to just show up at the house again. That did not go well.
I promise you, I will do everything in my power to try to fix this situation with them.
I can imagine your point of view. You are tired of dealing with all these stupid adult egos. Why can’t we all act like grown ups? I’m sure my frustration with having to do this made you (Purity) angry. I can understand this. You are entitled to your frustration and your point of view. I hope you know how much I love you both.
Sincerely,
Prudence XXOO
