I look back over my teenage years and now I don’t remember so many of the bad things. So much has happened since then. I’m even reconnecting with friends from this era in our lives on Facebook. We survived it together.
I know home is not easy. You are getting through it though. And you will get to a new place. The kids around you will be your fellow survivors. Some of them will not make it. Stop. Look around. The kid next to you could be in a car accident tomorrow and you’ll be glad you were kind to him/ her when you had the chance.
These are beautiful times. Because you are “conquering yourselves so beautifully.” What beautiful “Little Women” you are becoming.
How do I know this? Because I know you, my sweet sisters. I’ve seen you at your worst (vomiting in my toilet) and at your best (getting a school award). And those are just two moments I remember out of THOUSANDS. I would love to see more of your moments. I hope you’ll allow me to continue to be a cheerleader in your life. Enjoy Owl City and their rendition of “Beautiful Times.”
