Parent Conference week has finally finished. I’ve had almost 30 conversations about this child’s progress and that child’s lack of focus. It’s not easy to sit there and tell people you hardly know bad news about how their child is doing. And I have to find SOMETHING for them to improve upon or I’m not doing my job. When I have to fill out paperwork that informs the parent that their child is so low they may need to repeat a grade, that can be really uncomfortable. But you need to say these things. Sometimes you just have to “Say What You Need to Say.”
